Celerity Discusses Safety Measures with Staff, What Was Said?
QUAKERTOWN, Pennsylvania, May 19, 2025 – Celerity conducted a mandatory all staff meeting on May 19, 2025 led by Daryl Zaremba, Safety and Training Manager, in support by JR Leight, Vice President and Dave Giannini, Safety Technician. This brought together team members across all departments to reinforce Celerity’s commitment to a safe work environment.
Meeting Focus
The meeting focused on a range of safety-related topics, the first one being the benefits of teamwork in safety. Teamwork plays an important role in creating a safer work environment. It improves communication, collaboration, and shared responsibility. It allows better communication about jobsite hazards, quicker identification of risks, and more informed decision-making through many perspectives. When team members support one another, hold each other accountable, and contribute to safety measures, it creates a culture of continuous improvement. A sense of ownership, clear communication and shared commitments to safety reinforces positive behavior and ensures everyone plays a role in making a safe workplace.
The next topic was our commitment to behavior-based safety. Behavior-based safety is an approach to workplace safety that focuses on observing, analyzing, and modifying the behaviors of employees to prevent accidents and improve overall safety performance.
Grounding was another crucial topic discussed because its importance promotes personal safety, reduces fire hazards, equipment damage and service interruptions. Grounding must be done on any conductive cable, the trucks must be grounded, and an equipotential zone must be created.
With summer coming around the corner, the importance of heat stress was highlighted. The first tip Celerity gave out was to get acclimated to work. Building a heat tolerance is important during the hot summer months. Drinking plenty of fluids before, during, and after each shift can help fight heat stress. Celerity also recommended a buddy system and rotating jobs and to keep an eye out for heat stress symptoms like pale skin and dizziness can decrease the risk of heat stroke.
Celerity remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety across all job sites and operations.
