Construction,
Installation + Testing
Celerity provides craftsmanship in technology. Our engineering is done at the same exacting level as our construction. We stay current with advancements in the telecommunications arena while operating as old-world craftsmen.
We provide our technicians with the proper equipment to install and follow through with proper job documentation for all Aerial and Underground construction services. Every project receives a close out package including all the red lined as-builts, daily performance reports, safe site sign off sheets and all other ancillary documentation. We demonstrate craftsmanship in every build from construction, through installation and testing.
When it’s well crafted,
it’s been crafted by Celerity.
Celerity’s approach to aerial construction couples safety and expedience. We are keenly aware that aerial construction can only take place after what may seem like a long and drawn out permitting and make ready process controlled by the pole owner. While Celerity works with pole owners to expedite permits during the design phase of a project on behalf of our customers, we pride ourselves on being completely prepared to complete the work efficiently once the permits are issued.
Today’s advanced wireless systems require fiber optic infrastructure to support the massive amount of bandwidth they require. In simplest terms, there are a tremendous amount of “wires” in a wireless system. Celerity supports the wireless industry by providing our advanced knowledge in the design, construction, service and maintenance of fiber optic infrastructure to wireless carriers and private entities deploying wireless solutions.
Celerity can design and implement the fiber necessary for fiber backhaul for macrosites as well as design and deploy the fiber network that supports today’s most advanced 5G systems. Celerity has intimate experience with supporting oDAS, iDAS, small cell, macro cell and 5G systems. Celerity can further assist the wireless industry with any wireless attachments or make ready requirements within the telecommunications space of joint use utility poles.
Celerity’s years of experience and well-trained technicians work to deliver a quality fiber path, meeting both the customer specifications and expectations. Installing cables into a splice enclosure or panel and making the “connections” as part of a network build is the core of fiber optic splicing. Celerity’s collective years of experience gives us the ability to look at a customer’s scope of work and determine exactly what the customer is seeking. Celerity prides itself on delivering the desired end results.
While Celerity’s craftmanship is the principal upon which we provide our splicing services, testing services during the installation portion of a project are all about proving the quality of our splicing work and documenting the network for our customers.
OPGW wire provides a telecommunications path for the power company to monitor and communicate critical network information, simultaneously providing grounding protection to the electric grid’s infrastructure. Splicing and testing OPGW cables requires an in-depth understanding of what differentiates this type of cable from normal telecommunications fiber optic cable.
Power Meter and Light Source Testing provides an accurate end to end loss reading on an optical span helping Celerity determine if the fiber is damaged or cut. Our technicians will capture the data in the field, including fiber attenuation and fiber misalignment.
Very few fiber optic companies provide fiber optic characterization, let alone own the testing gear—and even fewer own multiple sets of this highly specialized testing gear. Celerity has been providing Fiber Optic Characterization since the original field testing units became available and owns several testing units for this service. This is highly specialized testing gear and requires highly trained technicians to provide a true representation of a network’s capabilities.
The fundamental principle in fiber characterization is being able to push more data at faster speeds through the optical network. Due to certain physical properties of fiber optic strands, light traveling through individual strands of glass becomes distorted, which can cause signal interruptions and data errors.
Celerity’s technicians will capture the data in the field, fully analyze it, compare it against past test results, and provide full documentation in a professional, expedient manner. Celerity’s fiber characterization services entail OTDR testing, Light Source/Power Meter Testing, ORL Testing, Chromatic Dispersion Testing, Polarization Modal Dispersion testing and any corrective measures of controllable network attributes.
